On my way to the Center of the World in Felicity I took a quick detour to Warner Springs to take some picture of the cottonwood tree. The place was covered with fog during my previous two visits and I wanted to see how the scene will look during the summer. To my surprise the whole scene was absolutely stunning.
I reached Warner Springs just before sunrise to capture the blue hour and the early morning warm light just before the sun peeks out from behind the mountains.
It was pitch dark at first and gradually the light started to change. As the sun started to peek from behind the mountains you can see the golden light reflecting off of the dried vegetation, it was simply spectacular. I just stood there enjoying the scene as it unfolded and took pictures at the same time. I took some bracketing shots and consecutive shots for panorama. I am glad I took the detour and now I am more curious to see how the scene will unfold during other seasons.
